The Best Soccer Reference Ever!
I just received the following reference from the coach of a potential recruit for my college team. I don’t know about you, but the way he describes this player gives me goosebumps!
“He is very much like Brendan, a stalwart in defense, probably better skill on the ball than Brendan, not quite as big, but very tough and physical, takes smart angles, learns his lessons quickly, knows his strengths and plays to them.
This team I currently coach is better than the team that Joey came from, and that was a really good team. He is a great student, incredibly bright, a great locker room guy in that he is funny, always lightens the mood, but is the first guy out of the box to lay some wood on someone and let them know the kind of day it’s going to be for them. He can play anywhere in the back, or as a defensive middie.
Great work ethic, super consistent player, would be a great fit for a program like yours with his experience at such a high level, and workman attitude, he’s marked ODP players in big games and is a consistent starter on a team that boasts of 7 college commited players already and 3 others entertaining offers.
He has been accepted to several schools, but really wants to play and is willing to go to a smaller program to get that chance. “
It is no wonder that 7 of this coach’s players are already committed to schools with 3 more of them entertaining multiple offers!
Let me know if you have received any references in the same league as this, let’s share them!
