We all call ourselves soccer coaches, but what does that mean? How would you define the role of a coach? Are you there at practice to run drills? Are you there to keep your players busy and entertained? Are you simply the person who makes sure that all your players are involved equally at games and practices, or are you coaching so that you can help your players and the team as a whole get better?

Are you judged (by yourself and/or others) by how many games you win? Or are you judged by how much fun your players have while on your team? Are you popular because you keep the players happy? Oor do your players respect you because you are fair?…
