FIFA World Cup 2010 Quarter Finals

Now that is what we wanted. Goals, drama, amazing turns of events, that is what we love wthe World Cup for.

And we are only half way through the quarters!

Holland did an amazing job coming back from 1-0 down against the favorites. Brazil looked very ordinary in the second half. It is great to see a team emerge from the dressing room at half time and turn around a game and win it.

The goalkeeper should have commanded his box and got his defenders out of the way, I cannot believe that at this level the keeper and a defender get in each other’s way leading to Holland’s first goal.

The Brazilian defenders were like statues defending the corner from which the Dutch scored the winning goal.

All credit to Robinho on his goal, can’t believe that Brazil didn’t go on from there and put the game to bed.

So, there you have it, Holland in the semi final and the favorites heading home.

Diego Forlan has definitley figured out the Jabulani ball, his free kick was incredible.

I did not see much of the Ghana vs Uruguay game, so please leave your comments on the game.

Tomorrow we have Germany vs Argentina and Paraguay vs Spain, could the latter game provide us with another upset….Leave me a comment with your thoughts and Let’s Talk Soccer.

    Yes, after seeing the German machine destroy my tipped favorites Argentina, I have to say Germany looks unstoppable.

    I can’t remember being much more excited during a World Cup than this year. Lots of exciting games this year. Can’t wait for 2014.
