FIFA World Cup Semi Finals
Two great semi finals over the last couple of days. It is going to be very empty next week when we don’t have games of this magnitude to watch on a daily basis!
So, was Forlan really injured or did the Uruguayan coach really screw up taking him off so early?
How badly do you think Germany missed Mueller?
How on earth can Germany lose to a header in their box? Have you seen the size of their defenders!!! One of them is even called “Meat Stacker!”
Lots of surprises, Robben scoring a bullet header, Gio Van Bronkhorst scoring an absolute screamer, possibly the goal of the tournament so far. It looks like only Forlan has mastered the Jabulani on a consistent basis with his long range shots.
Was Van Persie offside? If not, why not?
Why were the Uruguayans all upset with the referee at the end of the game?
Is Paul the Octobus a genius or what? I believe there has been an attempt to steal him and take him to Las Vegas!
Overall though I believe that Holland deserve to be in the final and Spain has the best roster out of all the 32 teams, imagine being able to have players of the calibre of Fabregas and Reina on the bench!
So, it is all set up for a massive final on Sunday, all European with a guarantee of a brand new winner of the World Cup. My money is on whoever Paul the Octopus says is going to win!
I will be flying back from a wedding in Mississippi and if the plane is on time I will be able to watch the entire game in an airport bar…sweet!

Spain 1 Germany 0 – I personally was on the side of the germans, but in all honesty spain had a better game. If we can see just one more amazing performance from spain, if they can bamboozle Holland in the same manner on Sunday we will have new world champions!

I agree, I don’t think they have reached their peak yet, if they turn it on against Holland, then they will be champions!

great post, i enjoyed the worrld cup so much this year it didnt live up to the excitement of previous WC but it was still great. Ghana where the highlightt for me shame they went out to a “handball”
